'I've Recovered Well and Hopefully Will Be in Action Soon,' Reveals Deepak Chahar

While the 2020 Indian Premier League is all set to start from September 19, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced trouble as several members getting affected by the COVID-19 including player Deepak Chahar.

However, the speedster has announced that he has recovered well from the deadly virus and like others, they have been following the bio-secure bubble regulations pretty well in the UAE where IPL 2020 will take place.

"Hello everyone, thank so much for wishes and prayers. I've recovered well and hopefully be in action soon. One more thing, never miss your leg day no matter where you are and what condition you are," an excited Deepak Chahar said.

Apart from the 13 members, all the players and support staff have tested negative in the tests which took place on Monday. They will now go through another test before starting their training on Friday (September 4). Meanwhile, the members who have tested positive for COVID-19 are asked to stay in a separate hotel and will be tested after finishing their mandatory quarantine is over.

"Those tested positive will be tested after 14 days of isolation. All other members are negative," confirmed CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan to Cricketnext.

"Deepak and Ruturaj will complete their 14-day quarantine and then join training after two negative tests as per protocol," he had said to PTI.

However, things got worse when the two players tested positive which created the tension in the CSK camp. Even their key player Suresh Raina has also pulled out of the IPL 2020 of due to "personal reasons"

It is noteworthy that, both Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj will not be present for practice at least until September 12. Meanwhile, the schedule of the league is yet to come and some of the franchises have asked for warm-up games as well.
